Hi All . . . Have been absent from Forum for a while, following house move. But, as luck would have it, having moved house, 10 miles away I find a guy selling a black '85 635 for peanuts. So the temptation, and the result of Fate, got the better of me, and now I have two, one silver blue, one black . . . but this new black one has a few fixer problems, and one is stumping me:

Where the down pipe meets the first section of exhaust proper, there are two gaskets, that go inside the metal triangluar gaskets. One is a sleeve, one is a ring.

I bought new ones of these, as the exhaust was already detached when I bought it, as the guy was going to fix it, but lost interest.

But I can't work out how to re-attach the exhaust, and which side the sleeve goes on and which side the ring; and now to bridge the gap between down pipe and exhaust proper with these bits and pieces!

Serves me right for letting temptation get the better of me, but any suggestions greatly appreciated. (I think Brucey one posted a full exhaust-fitting guide, but I can't see to find it anymore.)

all best wishes, Graeme
