What's the money used for?

Your contribution could be used for a whole host of services, from feeding to training, to vets' bills. The guide dog service receives no government funding, and relies entirely on voluntary income to deliver its services. Your generous donations will provide independence and freedom for blind and partially-sighted people.

What are Guide Dogs' Administration Costs?

At Guide Dogs 1p in every £1 is spent on administration costs, so rest assured the majority of your donation will go towards providing guide dogs for blind and partially-sigted people.

 How much does it cost to train a guide dog?

It works out at £10 a day to fund a guide dog partnership. This includes all the costs over the life of the dog, from breeding, through to training, matching of the partnership, all the dog's food and vet's fees and even to finding it a loving home at retirement.
