Hi, and welcome to the forum 

Buy yourself a service re-set tool and it will re-set them. Hope that helps.

..If you are feeling brave enough to muck around with your car - personally I wouldn't feel comfortable doing it this way in case you get it wrong and damage something.

Actually "and a fuse" - simple on an 'old' E30 - see.....

You could always get the oil changed and the service done by a dealer or an independant.  That tends to do the trick.
