Well as the winner of the last round of the Karting Grand Prix in Kylemore,
I'd like to offer you all a shot at the title in the near future. If there's enough
interest I'll get some dates and we can try to organise another grand prix in
Kylemore. I'd be up for the top track this time.

This is open to everyone. So who's in?

will be a good way of working off some weight. Maybe. I'll ring tomorrow

Eh, no. How are you getting on with the new baby by the way?

@Luke, funny you should say that. I was out for hours on saturday afternoon
sorting out all the rubbish and filling the trailer to go to the dump. And I had
to bring another car load down this afternoon too.

Okay guy, lets start getting organised. They get booked very quickly so we
need to try organise it asap. How does Sunday suit? We could go around
4pm, 6pm, or 7pm on the 10th or 17th.

My preference would be the 10th.

My God. A year already. Where does the time go? I'm off to buy a 12 pack of

Anyway, karting. Any more interested? You can bring a friend. The more

Killian, you're just going to have to earn some brownie points on Sunday
morning. Step 1, get up very early and go get the papers and ingredients for
a full Irish. Step 2, serve breakfast in bed along with papers. Step 3, take the
kids on a walk/drive to give the boss some peace and quiet. Step 4, tell her
you're going karting at 6 and will be home by 9.

Yep a good night had by all I think. Only six of us turned up at 6pm so we
had the safety briefing and got ready for a mini enduro, two sessions of
25 laps. Just as we were about to get into the karts Beemerchris and
Bayerische arrived. That 540 must be slower than I imagine. Anyway all
eight of us went for a quick practice session and then started the first 25
lap race. I started from 1st as I was number 1. Kin started from 5th but
still managed to pass me after a couple of laps.

Race two started in reverse to how we finished race 1 so I started in 6th. I
was involved in a big incident on the first lap which slowed me down and
allowed Kin to pass but we got going again. I was really getting the hang
of the track during the second session finding a bit more speed and
better lines through the corners. I managed a 25.60 time. Unfortunately
Kin had a crappy kart in the second race only posting a 27 second time.
He did manage a 25.92 in the first race. I think he would have one if he
was in a better kart.

The good news is Kylemore are getting a brand new fleet of 200cc karts
to replace the tired 160cc ones so the next time should be better and
hopefully we all get good karts.
