Cracking day out. A big thanks to Steve for organising it. Best £35 I've spent on a Sunday. Wee Gaz is still moaning about his dad punting him off the flyover and stopping the race.

One of lifes little lessons.

Great day and great banter thanks to Stevie's organisation and Kris Boyd. (never seen so many Dundonians in Cambuslang before.....)

I think the confusion at the end was due to the fact that the marshalls have taken the 'heat' positions and not the actual final 'race' positions. (see below) Did anyone see a print-out of the final  'start' and 'finishing' positions?

I recall being passed once in the final by a white helmeted driver but I also passed one who had spun. Anyway it was all good fun but I wonder if Lewis Hamilton takes his burd to the track to moan at the marshalls......

If you are planning on an outdoor event steer clear of Knockhill and visit http://www.raceland.co.uk/ - Raceland instead. You will NOT be disappointed.

Great pictures and do you happen to have any close ups of me? Car 11.

I'm sure Stevie will let me know if you organise anything.

Surprise, Surprise

Well that settles it....I never spun!!

End result was a dampener I must admit and hate that we had to have a marshalls enquiry but rightfully it ended up where it should be.

You feel threatened by a woman airing her voice....mate sit down.

It wasn't me who came down with my very own helmet and super light weight racing pumas....sorry. I don't take it that serious.

Raceland?? Yeah sounds good.Better get some practice in then won't you.

But otherwise great spirit and good going Douglas....

Regards

Tiko

Ha ha, they said you would bite. 'We' didn't have a marshalls enquiry, you did. I couldn't give a toss as I thought I was black flagged after t-boning slow drivers..............

You done very well. I have no excuses.

I will shine my helmet for the next event.............

Oh yeah it's good to have some friendly banter I say....beats the same mundane spiel we normally get

It actually wasn't me who insisted on the enquiry, the lad at the reception with glasses was bewildered as to why I had entered the pits last....then realised there was a problem!!

You too mon ami....great bit of racing I must admit.

Lets get the next date set I say

Tiko, ask Stevie about the confused look on my face as I entered the pits first (after the straggly haired marshall had given me two black and whites and then the three fingers to suggest a black was forth-coming) to be told I had won. I did know I was up there but it was a little messy near the end with back markers getting in the way.

I don't recall seeing a chequered flag and it is quite possible I was last as I did not complete the full 20 laps.

I did tell the 'race co-ordinator' to NOT include me in the places but he did anyway at the presentation. If the fourth place chap wants a trophy call ScotKart as I left it with them.

Anyway Tiko I still finished first in Heat 2 (10seconds in front after you were on pole as well...............)

Still, the fastest guy of the day was Stevie53 who opened up the M5 on the way home!!!! What a machine!!

Bring on the next time.

If that's the case...first heat I was 13th ended up 2nd. You I recall were 11th and managed 3rd. That hot you should be 1st mate.

In the last race, on yellow you tried to bump a position...oh I remember!! As does Mark Campbell lol

Chin up....till next one

Hands aff ma helmet!!

See Tiko's still at the whinging........

As I recall you were already t-boned when I 'squeezed' past your rear (Gary might like some of that.......)

"If that's the case...first heat I was 13th ended up 2nd. You I recall were 11th and managed 3rd. That hot you should be 1st mate."

You were not the only person to be t-boned in that heat, just the only one greetin' aboot it!!!

As for getting past under the yellow, I was merely trying to get a little more level. Not a lot of people were taking note of the warning lights though.

Who mentioned the 'scoobie' boys...............

Date Posted: 19-March-2008 at 22:25
You're recollections are wrong Dougster....it was you!! I'm not whinging, just stating the ACTUAL events.

T-Boning....a commonly used tactic of yours it seems. How many times did you get black flagged lol?

I'll let this rest now....old news. Glad you're taking it well

@Graham...I know and I still won hahaha. With you there it'd be constant red lights....Mr Spinalot lol

Congratulations on your win Tiko.

All I recall is there was someone T-ing your bone before I got on the scene.

The marshalls were over zealous with their black and whites but completely oblivious to the over-taking under yellow flags and no one slowing down.

As you said, lets put this to rest..................seeing as no-one knows what happened in the final race I will claim overall victory due to heat points and fastest lap.

I have PMed you my postal address and expect the trophy by the weekend.

Douglas.....you didn't even finish the race mate. What you talking about????? By your own admission

I'll gladly hand it over to you if I knew you WERE the winner...but guess what YOU'RE NO!!!!

Now polish that helmet of yours, buy some new micro-light gear....and then maybe you'll be victorious. Thats a big maybe!! Until then, my SoCo and lemonade with my Saturday night special (Large mixed Kebab) will be my pre race diet...

@Gary....mate if you do I make 50% straight down the middle. With all rights to any future productions lol

"victory due to heat points and fastest lap"

The final heat is void as we have no data. (see my scanned print out above)

I win.

P.S. you should try some Southern Comfort and Lemonade on your tyres.......maybe the stickiness will stop you from ending up sideways in front of oncoming faster karts (i.e. ME!!), and instead of kebabs I suggest you need more http://www.miniclip.com/games/crazy-karts/en/ - practice ....

You want to win that way...I'll gladly hand it if I felt you deserved it but unsportsmanlike conduct rates very low with me....

You call yourself a winner....I've got a few words that describe you better.

Mate, you need to accept you got humped by someone who doesn't give an iota either way. You on the other hand seem to take this seriously and guess what you lost....no matter which way you want to skew the results.

Practice??? You maybe think so

Tiko

"humped by someone who doesn't give an iota either way"

Really, the last time I heard that much bleating Aberdeen were in town........

However I do take umbrage to being 'unsportsmanslike' If you can't handle it mate don't fukkin whinge.

Remember it was MY intervention with the marshalls that let you take the win. Unsportsmanlike...........I reckon you spun and were dead LAST.

LOL...to the comment "it was MY intervention...." Pants!!!

Your memory doesn't really serve you well mate...It was 'THEIR' intervention with you that led to the results been changed. Two marshalls watching the race agreed on errors in the final positions....whining not me.

Thats right we got beat...and so what? I'm sure Sporting Lisbon will show you a lesson or two. Just like you...your team haven't been that impressive either.

Ciao for now
