I don't know if this one has been covered before, I have done a search on wipers but the results were far too many to trawl through!

Basically I have noticed that the wipers on my 528 SE don't revert to intermittent from the first speed when I stop for a short while, such as at traffic lights, They just carry on wiping at normal speed unless I physically put them onto intermittent myself, also the knurled delay wheel appears not to be working, the wipers will sweep the screen at 5 second intervals regardless of its position. Any ideas?

Also the throttle cable seems a bit stiff too (stiffer than my old 740i anyway) Is this just simply a cable change?

Cheers in advance for any suggestions

Paul

i'm not saying this is the answer? .. but i'd think there is a relay or somesort of speed control box that may be at fault, which operate's the wiper's when the car is stopped?

Do you have rain light sensor?

Cable is quite common-it travels through a few tight angles which eventually causes it to wear and  become tight.

Thanks for the replies.

FORZA...no my 528 doesn't have the rain sensor.

And thanks for the advice on the cable, I'll get it changed when it goes in for service in a few weeks, that's always assuming it doesn't snap first!
