Is it posible to get this sort of http://paintcare-n-detailing.com/video/pc.html - finish on a silver car?

All the cars that I have seen pictures off on t'interweb have always been really deep dark colours like black, green and blue.  Can this finish (mirror) be achieved on a titanium silver car?

It's not too bad, there aren't many swirl marks.  I have just had the car a week and not yet polished it.

The Klasse twins are great for Silver.  Klasse AIO polish and Klasse EG Sealent.  Also Blackfire polishes are great.  But my favorite at the moment is Zymol.  But at £75 for 8oz of wax and around £30 for the hd klense its a bit dear

Heres mine with Klasse twins

Tikos M3 with Blackfire

24 Year old golf treated with Zymol Hd Klense and Zymol titanium

All are good.  You just need t find the right one to suit your taste

Andrew,

As Allan320 said, it really does come down to your own preference on both effort of use,/ looks and costs.

Zymol is easy to use, HD Cleanse and Zymol Creme Wax would work well on silver but only if you want a glossy (wet) finish, with this finish the edges of a reflection will be slightly blurred, like a reflection in a mill pond.

Blackfire (and others) also do sealants which are possibly easier to work with and give a very clear reflective finish, so a reflection in the paint will have sharp edges more akin to a tinted mirror.

Some of the best write-ups are on the polished bliss in Aberdeen website and Rich is always available to talk you through your options although any serious detailing outfit near your home would also be similar I imagine.

If you are close to Aberdeen then you can have a try of a couple of options from my collection and see which you prefer, you may even be able to get a trial form a local detailer if you ask and they will then get your business, a win-win!!!

Hope this helps

Al

Andrew,

If you put these links into your search on the web then they should show a good wax finish on an M3 & 911 with silver. If I find a synthetic finish I will post this as well.

Andrew, I now use Jeffs Werksatt Acrylic system bought from polished bliss, I can tell you I am very impressed with the shine & reflection it gives my titan silver paint, it's the easiest product i have used, can be used in cold weather, sunlight, even damp conditions. It comes with 3 different stages, the Jeffs Prime is a cleaner, the Acrylic Jett is the sealant & the Glos is the quick detailer (which I actaully don't use that much as I think the Acrylic Jett gives a far better shine)

Image

Each time I use it the car looks better & better, give it a try.

If you have a look at http://www.bmwowner.com - www.bmwowner.com in the detailing forum, you will see a write up by polished bliss callled "what to use & why, on silver white & grey" or you could visit http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk - www.polishedbliss.co.uk & have a look for it there. Top stuff!
