e39 side light not working..

just noticed that my passenger "side light" isnt working. Ive changed the blub,checked for a live and checked the fuses and still no joy. The drivers side light works perfectly fine though..any ideas???

Hmm

Might be a broken wire somewhere, from memory the side light sits in a bulb holder which has wires leading to it.

Or it could be similar to this post

Nah you said the other side is fine  I don't think the E39 is as clever as the E60 which is probably a good thing.  Could just be a bad conenction on an earth or something.

An auto electrician might be able to sort it out for you.

The Haynes manual for the E39 covers some wiring circuits which will give you a wire colour to trace back.
