For those of you that remember this great site, Philippe now has it back up and running. There are still a few bugs to be ironed out, but it's great to have another Europe-based E31 board available.

Sniff, yes, ClubE31 is the mutts nuts, but I am having difficulty with my registration and cannot log on. Is this one of the 'bugs' you refer to? Also I didn't get a confirmation e.mail when I first registered. Can you throw some light on this???

I tried again as well - impossible to log on, register or anything.
Mine's having its MOT in a fortnight and I just renewed the BMW warranty. Thinking of selling it but every time I see another 8 on the road (once a month) I just melt and change my mind.........

Out of interest, what's a '97 840Ci worth in Oz? A proper one with BMW s/h and 67k?

Hi Andyboy,

I would say about AUS $90 - $100k (STG 37-42)

check these these links:

About a year ago there was a huge front page newspaper article on a stolen car gang being smashed. They were importing (amongst other things) stolen BMWs from the UK in containers and selling them here on the local market...the front page had a big colour photo of a black 840Ci on it. 2 has been repo'ed the day before by the rozzers.

This was about a week after I bought mine.  After picking myself up off the floor that morning I was relieved to double check it was an Australian delivered car & I had clear title.

Anyway if you're bringing your car down here there's great driving weather all year and the middle of the country has no speed limits (just watch out for a big rock in the middle).
