Hi Guys,

I've just purchased an E46 330d 51 plate. It's got the 4:3 monitor

It's got a fault on the nav/tv system where all sound keeps going. If it's on radio, putting it on CD sometimes gets the sound back on but then it'll fail on that within minutes. Im not too sure it's a bad connector as it'll do it sometimes before i start driving. If it's not working on cd or radio it won't work on nav or tv either.

Dous this unit run a seperate amp, or are the speakers driven from the main unit

I've checked the connections on the modules in the back but can't find anything untoward. I couldn't work out what the unit is that sits behind the tv tuner, can't get to the connections properly, so as to disconnect it and find out what it does. Could that be an amp?

Cheers guys n girls

Rich
