hmmm you could try http://www.traynors.co.uk - traynors
there are also a http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-Truck-Parts-Accessories__BMW-E28-535i-535iS-DME-ECU-Computer-Motronic_W0QQitemZ360089926459QQadnZCarQ20Q26Q20TruckQ20PartsQ20Q26Q20AccessoriesQQadiZ2865QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item360089926459&_trkparms=72%3A543%7C39%3A1%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245 - few like this one on ebay but with different part numbers.

tried traynors, seen them on ebay..The ecu went on my 323i baur a while back and i tried the one from my brother in laws baur(twin of my car) and the part numbers were different and it wouldnt do my car(ended up getting one from ebay from a 1985 525i/same part number)

So it seems that it doesnt have to come from a 635csi BUT it does have to have the same part number.

And so the search goes on......

Well ya learn sumthing new everyday and i am now a member of the alfa forum.I asked for help on that site aswell so we`ll see how it goes.

If i was 100% positive the ecu is my problem i would buy it new but its a very expensive way to find out that its not the problem after all.

ah well,fingers crossed.

P.S.

Thanks for helping me in my ecu search.
