Well after much hassle trying to register Pete finally managed to sort me out so cheers Pete.

I have already met a few of the aberdeen boys and hope to meet up again.

I have been a browser on here for a while since i bought my m3 evo a year ago i recently sold it and was palnning on not having a car as i get a works van home but that lasted around a month when i bought my current car which will be a keeper. Its a 1998, S e36 328i sport in avus blue, no pics as yet but watch this space. Car has done 51k with full bm history and only 2 owners.

Done a few sublte modifications already. Replaced all the discs with black diamond drilled items and replaced all pads, also at the same time i had eibach pro kit fitted as it was a bit slopy on the standard suspension and now much more positive, also had aw complete an inspection 2 and replace the belts.

All in all it doesnt have the rawness of the m3 but i prefer the way it drives tbh very smooth and quicker than i was expecting, future plans are a full correction detail, new spoiler as the current one sags in the middle and generally look after it.

Cheers

Gav

Hey Gav, welcome, sounds like you've got yourself a mint car there, I can't believe the mileage on it
Should get a few pics up, is it a coupe or loon?

Cheers mate its a coupe, its not perfect a few wee niggles but ill get them sorted.

Yeh i was sceptical about the mileage but i checked with all the usual companies and bmw themselves and its genuine so i was over the moon.

Alright loon hows it going?

Oh yes ill be doing a write up for sure, got a few things to sort out first though, front bumper has a small scuff on it which will need painting once thats done ill crack on getting the car ready for the better weather if it ever turns up.

Also going to get the original bbs wheels refurbed as they suffer from the usual corrosion issues.

Hopefully see you at the upcoming meets. Still got the e46?

Yep, still got the oilburner. Hasn't moved for a week or two due to the snow.

Looking for a project for the summer tho. Your 328 sounds just like the thing I would have been after.
I take it it wasn't from around here?.

I'll try for Z3 maybe. Something that needs a bit of love and attention. plus the missus fancies herself in one... (only way I'll get another 'toy')

Give us a shout if you need a hand with the paint correction. The replacement G220 (3rd one) needs a try out.

Yeh i hadnt moved mine for about 3 weeks, bad idea as it seems i now have a seized caliper

I bought the car from a guy near cumbernauld, it was originally bought from the same garage as my bro's e46 m3 (ocean bmw plymouth) small world.

Aye you got to keep the bread knife happy. heard of a few g220 issues but mine hasnt missed a beat since they came out although i do use the makita much more.

wonder if it's the same guy that owns it now, iirc he paid you a (deserved) premium price because it was in such good nick, as you say it needs a little bit to bring it back to its former glory, its heartbreaking to see a former car you've cherished go to rack and ruin
