Quote Once again it is that time of year to warm up your favourite chair, make sure the TV is working properly and check the TV schedules as the 2009 motorsport season fast approaches.

Now that Brawn GP have announced that they are the new owners of the old Honda team we can open the doors for entries into the 2009 Fantasy Leagues season. Go to www.ff1.co.uk and enter your F1 and MotoGP teams for FREE. Once again the slate is wiped clean, so you will need to register again. Not much has changed due to other commitments, so you still have £60m to spend on your line up in both F1 and MotoGP. The major change for this season is we are not running the Champions league as this seemed to be not as popular as we thought it might be.

So get all your friends and colleges to enter, then form a mini league and see who comes out on top. Remember it is free to enter and is done just for fun and the honour of being the best.

Have a great 2009 season and we'll hopefully see you in the league.

I have taken the liberty of setting up a Fantasy F1 mini league for all who wish to to participate in at http://www.ff1.co.uk/default.asp - http://www.ff1.co.uk/default.asp

You will need to read the rules, enter your team where you will be given a password to access the main site, where you will need to click on:

'Mini Leagues'

'Request Entry To Mini League'

and select 'Bavarian-BoardF1' to enter.

Awaiting requests..

There will be a prize (as yet undecided) for the winner at the end of the season. Entry is free!

Please note: This year all requests to be submitted by the 25th March. Any late comers won't get in (just to make it fair for everyone)

Entries so far...

Exactly - and more fun.

I don't honestly expect my "F1 on the Cheap" team to actually win, but it would be interesting to watch its progress against the choices of my esteemed colleagues on the forum

(p.s. my last years ringer started top (of course) but over the year, as expected, dropped down the order - but at the end of the season it wasn't - IMMSMC - last,  perhaps rossi doesn't want to be embarrassed )

Not that I want to embarrass anyone / everyone but while we’re all looking at our performance in our own wee mini league did anyone notice where does that sit in the league of mini leagues?

There are currently 145 mini leagues, Bavarian-BoardF1 are 134th

I’m running a mini league for 7 series owners, The Magnificent 7, they are 131st!!  and one for a football forum I’m on, Hibs.net are 41st in the table.

It's early days yet. Don't forget, the McLarens have aerodynamic problems and the Ferrari's still have reliability issues. Most teams are still doing the final testing in the first 2 or 3 races so it could and probably will all change. If I'm being honest though, it's a refeshing change to see the big boys lower down though I guess it will only spur them on more. Long before the Braun team have finished drinking their champagne, McLaren and Ferrari will be hard at work on the drawing board!

Just look at the Premiership in football this year for example, Man U had a terrible season start, now look where they are!

When the going gets tough............

Mike

Malaysian GP weather

Originally posted by PlanetF1 PlanetF1 wrote:

F1's second race of the season, the Malaysian GP, looks likely to be an extremely wet affair as heavy rains lash the region.

Heavy rainfall is currently awash in Malaysia and is not expected to let up any time soon with the BBC's meteorologists forecasting rain throughout the weekend.

And while rain has often livened up many a dreary F1 grand prix, this weekend it could prove to be hazardous as F1 has switched to slick tyres and the drivers are still adapting.

So expect a few spills and thrills at Sepang this weekend...

Oooo err this should be exciting..Barrichello favourite maybe?

Tyres will play a big part in this weekends race on the basis of this weather forecast, so that'll be Mclaren stumped, with regards to previous years' races in the wet.

Maybe you should apply for a position at Mclaren for 'trying' to deceive and failing, by entering TWO teams into 'the Bavarian-board League'

Err, I find it hard to understand this rant considering that neither Fiat finished, so the team were not involved in ANY protest.

p.s. in McLaren's case, does KERS = Keep Evading Rational Sensibility ?

Typical Ferrari bashing.

Face facts the team lied..... and got caught.

Deal with it, they are not whiter than white and Hamilton is no Saint!!
