Myself (  mike (imolasport) & ian woody m3evo  have been talking about arranging a south west meet for the members in that area & also who ever else who would like to come along, hopefully once we have found a good place for the meet we will try & make it a once a month meet, which will mean it being held at the same place & at same time one weekend possibly a Sunday.

But first we would like some ideas from all the members in that area.

1. A good location to hold the meet, thinking about distance for certain members ?
2. What day to hold it on ? Which will then be the same day each month.
3- And then a decent time to meet ? Also thinking of the distance some members might have to travel.

All your comment & ideas are welcome.

Mike there is a monthly meet for the South West just off junction 22 of the M5 on the first Wednesday of every month.

Not that I've been but it is run by the BMWCC.

I appreciate this is probably a bit far for you to travel from where you are.

Anyway to answer your question I would be interested in a monthly meet once I get my car back!!!

You can see what's been done by looking on the Scottish Area forum.

I agree that a Sunday would be your best bet, as for time, mid day?

As for location Exeter is prety much central for the majority of the South West.

Hope to see you at the River Dart event if your going.

Where does the SW area cover cos Exeter must be near on 90 mins from Bristol??

When I set up the Northampton meets with MickN3 and Ratbark we found that;
1;Sundays were always popular
2;Early lunch worked well...12ish
3;Pubs with options for food and big car parks not too far from main access roads worked well.

The BMWCC meet used to be at the Full Quart at Hewish which is a big pub with good carpark about 5 mins drive from the M5, junction 21 Weston-Super-Mare.

The South West covers all the way from Cornwall up to Gloucester so we would need to find somewhere to suit everyone depending on the interest.

That could be a good idea depending on the interest from each area, south of the region and north.
