Got this a few weeks ago,
E30 318i 1990. 62K miles, A1 condition, totally original, Brilliant red, always been garaged and serviced every year.
A few things I've done so far.
I had a set of 15" BBS's so had them refurbed at The Wheel Specialist in Manchester (nice job done and 25% discount for club members) and put 4 new tyres on  ( Kuhmo's)
Then a full service with new cam belt and rollers, changed all fluids and oils, gearbox oil, rear axle oil etc, new power steering belt, new fan belt, brakes etc all checked out and I fitted a proper BMW period radio cassette  that I had been saving for just such an occasion.
Will be going in for a little paint job then a good cleaning ready for the shows. Can't wait

Thanks chaps, it's gone in to have the paintwork done now so I won't see it for 2 weeks.

The little paint job has become a much bigger one cos I'm so fussy and want it to be perfect. There are some little marks on the bonnet, boot, roof, rear quarter and front valance so I have decided they should all be done. Will be lovely when its finished though.

Bit of an update. I've had the paintwork done, fitted the sports interior and a couple of other things and been cleaning her up ready for the Tatton festival on sunday. Going to enter her in the concours. Hope you approve.

Bloody hell, that's clean!

What did you use to clean the engine?

Nothing special Peter, mainly lots of time and elbow grease. To be fair it was pretty clean when I got it but I have put quite a few hours into cleaning every little nook and cranny. Under the bonnet I have just used Meguiars Gold Class carnuba polish on the paint and T cut for any stubborn marks. Autoglym engine cleaner for any oily/greasy stuff and washed with Meguiars Gold Class shampoo in warm water. A couple of old toothbrushes came in useful, lol. The main body has been polished with Zymol which is my preferred wax.

Cheers  Steve.
