Milltek fitted yesterday!

Took a couple of pics and a wee vid.  The camera is crap so doesn't really do the tone of the exhaust note justice I'm afraid.  Decided to take some interior and engine bay shots as well, becuase folk asked me for that last time.

Hope you like the pics!

Cheers

Daz

Cheers!  I love it, and the note is growing on me, thought it was a bit quiet at first. But it suites the car.  Was half hoping for a muscle car note, but it would not have suited the car.

Chekpoint complimented me on my no swirls on the paintwork, been extra careful not to damage it since it was new.  That Meguiars stuff is great.

I called my pals at Grasicks first, and no impact on the warranty, unless I am trying to make an exhaust claim of course.

You thinking about one to mate?  They do look and sound the nuts.

Actually, it did eventually tip, I editted the video clip.  It finished with me running and picking the camera up.

I'd have left it in, perhaps worthy of the £250 from You've Been Framed ??

Looks well Daz, was it a Full System you went for or the
Backbox alone?

It will/should get noisier. When I got mine, it was
perfect for what I was after but after about 18 months
and 6k, she's really starting to shout now. Hope that's
it though as don't want it any louder.

As far as Warranty is concerned, I've had my exhaust off
a couple of times now, once to fit a Supersprint, then a
GruppeM and now the Milltek and as such, one of the
clamps gave up the ghost. I explained the rattling to
Phoenix BMW when it was in for a couple of other things
and they diagnosed an exhaust clamp and replaced such for
nothing! Even with the obvious
Milltek.

Some weather back home! Dryer than here in Rio, believe
it or not!

It was the cat back system I went for Baz.

No damage/cutting required to OEM, as the cross pipes bolt to the manifold then the back box slots onto the cross pipes - job done!

The OEM one is in my garage, gonna refit for selling/trading in.  Or I can refit if I decide it is too loud, but right now I love it.

Never realised just how heavy the OEM exhaust was until I was lugging it into my garage on my own from my dad's jeep.  Was never a fan of the chrome pipes from the factory.
