OK I know this in the wrong section but I posted in the 7
series forum and no one got back to me....

I have 18" M Parallel Alloys on my E38, they came factory
fitted, I have always just changed the tyres going by
what it said on the tyre wall but I noticed on a few
sites people reckon the tyre sizes I am using may be
wrong.

One site states
F | 235/50/18
R | 275/40/18

and another site reckons

F | 255/45/18
R | 285/40/18

Now I have always thought that my back tyres never have
enough rim protector and they look a bit stretched, plus
I am changing them every 5/6 months (and its not the rear
arms)would this be because my tyres are wrong.

Any help would be appreciated.

235/50/18 on 8" rims - front

255/45/18 on 9.5" rims - rear

What sort of mileage are you getting from your tyres and what kind of wear (even, uneven, bald centre or edges, etc?).

What brand of tyres are you running?

What tyre pressures?

When did you last have a 4 wheel alignment done?
