Help appreciated in pin pointing the location of the Engine Number on an M57 engine fitted to a 530d 2001 model. I plan to view the car on tomorrow Saturday 10th. I do not want to spend any more than the minimum number of seconds under the bonnet gathering the VIN Number and Engine Number from the vehicle and comparing with the registration documentation. I have already got access to both Vin and Engine Number from official records. Hoping that somebody in the know can help.
