Hello E23ers

Have problem with ventilation system

I tried to remove the control panel, getting the radio, cross head screws and two 9m/m bolts out is the easy bit. The panel wires are too short also heater control and cannot get fingers in to remove electrical plugs. The hazard warning plug came off and took 20 minutes to get it back on. The heater control wheel was quite stiff and later something has broke, it just free wheels with no resistance stuck on cold setting, the blower speed control works ok. 

I have same problem with instrument panel, new batteries required, electrical wires too short to get fingers in to remove plugs

Help, any ideas?

Any E23ers around Doncaster Sheffiels area?
