Hard not to see some of the Royal Wedding on the TV, so while the Mrs was looking at the dress I was looking at the cars being used to transport various members of the Royal family about.

So then how come the fanciest Royal cars do not need to display a Tax disc or even number plates when on the road?

The passengers are also even allowed to ride without seat belts, how come?

Also the classic 1960's Aston Martin Volante was allowed out on the public road with an illegal number plate.

So if any of us did that on our BMWs we would be sent to the Tower, well the back seat of a Traffic Cops motor for a 'wee chat' anyway!

Why one rule for us on public roads and not the Royals then?

The queens cars in the UK are the only ones to be exempt
from registration plates and tax, they were in the main
built pre-seat belts as well apart from the newer Bentley
as for the Aston, it was as close to a closed section of
public highway we could ever imagine and with an armed
escort relatively speaking they are not in breach of any
laws.

However it is understood that when on open public highways
they do observe seatbelt laws in "normal useage"

Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
