Just been doing some online quotes for insurance.

Been getting some frankly stupid quotes. All around the £1200 mark!!! Does the BMWCCGB run an insurance scheme for members. Is it worth paying the membership just to get the deal?

Im 25, 3 years NCB. 1 accident back in 99. No points or convictions.

A motorbike is infinetly more nickable, more liekly to have a no fault accident and goes much faster, yet Im getting cheaper quotes for a R1 than a M3!!! And thats with Zero riding experience!

I used to use Adrian Flux who did have a Club Membership Scheme (not sure of their status now). I am now using More Than who offered the cheapest for me.

Ringing round is the best. Aon are in the club so to speak....

Good Luck

I'm also using Adrian Flux. When I came round to renewing I decided to pay Club Membership and try for a discount. Phoned them up, told them I'm a member, he went away to try for a better quote and told me he couldn't get it any cheaper!!!

You may find that 'club' insurance is not the cheapest quote on the market.. but they do usually give you more for your money.. like an agreed value and cover for 'club' trackdays and events.. and if you go limited mileage you can be credited for unused miles.

Adrian Flux are no longer the club insurer.

We now use AON.

Good luck

Nick

Grant, who was that with? That £529 was by far the cheapest, some people still quoted me over a grand. I still put it down to being under 30.

When I first go the car the best quote was £1500 hence why its been in my garage since July. (my 11 points came off in September)

Will NEVER use Adrian Flux again (Silent L you see )

Its an E30 worth approx £7500. Can you believe that a Cossie doesnt need a tracker and is cheaper!

Im currently with Greenlight, but they told me they wouldnt cover an M3 because lots have been stolen!

I know it will be steep, but anything over a grand is stupid!

Just a note for you all, an insurance company is only as good as its last claim. This is the time you need them most, with all the emotion surrounding an accident, their services should be 100%
