I believe not mate, it's been the same way with motorbikes for years now, despite the fact it still isn't a legal requirement to use lights on a bike here, during the day.
I was pulled in Denmark on a nice bright sunny day for not having my lights on, the officer couldn't believe we still had a choice, they haven't for a few years now. ------------- Best Wishes Nigel |

I drive with my sidelights on regardless becasue it make me more obvious to be seen by other road users who may not be paying attention. Maybe this is why the Danes did it! Or who ever imposed this silly rule on a bright sunny day (where car lights on or off won't make any difference to noticing a car! Seriously, if they are "side-lights" - or to give them their correct name "Parking Lights" then that is a complete waste of time because generally you can see the car before the poxy 40w bulbs.
