I just changed my August 2001 E38 with 156K miles for a later October model E38 Individual Sport with 57K miles. So far I have only found one fault and that is the plug on the phone cable for the fitted V50 is a little "manky".

BMW want over £250 for it, and ones on Ebay seem to be over £200 and are mostly for USA spec cars. The chord cannot be bought without the cradle.

As the V50 is not the easiest of telephones to use outside the car, I wondered if anyone has experience of fitting a blue tooth connection that talks to the wide screen nav system fitted to my car, so that I can use an up to date phone.

Or has a used standard cradle in excellent condition for sale?
