I just replaced my June 2001 E38 with an August 2001 E38 Individual Sport. I have searched the web for a list of E38 chassis numbers, as it would be great to know hoe near the end of run she is. Has anyone found a definitive list of chassis numbers for the E38?

I had a play with the E60 545i chassis numbers via realoeam.com. I just plugged in values near my own chassis number to see how many were built. Not a very terribly sophisticated way but gave me a steer as to how many there are out there.

Good tip. The last 728i recorded is DL79645, so mine was one of the last 200 built.
