We have been invited to attend the http://www.nms.ac.uk/our_museums/museum_of_flight/whats_on/wheels_and_wings.aspx" rel="nofollow - Wheels and Wings event at the National Museum of Flight, East Fortune on Sunday 23^rd September 2012.

This event is replacing Magnificent Machines and it looks like its going more down the Classic Car route and its a motorcycle stunt group that are providing the entertainment replacing the Monster trucks.

The event will run from 10:00–17:00,
Places are strictly limited to 20.
Car club member will get priority however if this is over subscribed I will set up a reserve list and I will do my best to get more spaces allocated. (I have already asked for 25 and they have refused! )
We need to arrive on site by 9.30am.
One driver and one passenger are allowed in free with the car.
The public will be entering at 10am.
Important - Unless we are specifically asked to take part in a parade you will not be able move you vehicle until after 17:00 when the show closes to the public.
PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR NAME DOWN UNLESS YOU CAN ATTEND
Closing date for the application will be 6th August 2012

I have received the passes from the organisers today and can I just remind you all of a few points...

The event will run from 10:00–17:00,
We need to arrive on site by 9.30am.
The public will be entering at 10am. There will be no entry after 10am so don't be late!
I will post up meeting times nearer the time.
One driver and one passenger are allowed in free with the car. I have wristbands for everyone so bring a passenger!
There will be no parade this year.
Important - You will not be able move you vehicle until after 17:00 when the show closes to the public.The exit gates will not be open before this time.

Ok this event is next Sunday and I have 2 places to fill which is a bit unfortunate considering I asked for extra places to accommodate demand!

Granada is the old name for the services that used to be there, where we are meeting up near to the esso service station and the travelodge.

Cool Gary, sure will, be down for 7.30 at the latest, my stupid 2008 car with 2012 nav software doesn't recognise postcodes with more than 5 digits (pretty unbelievable but true) but i've googled it Big smile

Yea great weekend thanks to Cambell for putting me up for the night. And not abusing me Pmsl. And no Robin I didn't have to kill him so all went well lol.
Look forward to the next run up over the border. Hopefully I won't do any damage next time.

What a good day this was. The sun was shining. We had a lovely backdrop to our stand and there were laughs a plenty! Thanks to everyone who came along making this a fab day!
