The plug on the end of the phone cable on my E38 2001 728i has broken. | I have an earlier phone, but I would imagine the plug is the same and a standard RJ11. If so, you can buy these loose plus a crimping tool for a few pounds on ebay. Cut off your old plug, remove the outer insulation only (not from the wires themslves), insert into plug and crimp. |

Unfortunately this plug does not fit the phone. The V30 / V50 phone has a plug about 17mm wide with lots of pins. The one you mention is a standard modem or phone jack plug like I have to plug my router into the phone jack at home. But you have given me an idea - I have a spare charger with a good plug, so I will see if the cable has the correct number of wires and connections.
