Hi folks, I've been having some issues with my 1994 740, my key went through the wash Embarrassed a few weeks back (not intentionally!). After drying it out and replacing the batteries I've been trying to resynchronise the key as per Autodata and many forums. As soon as the door is opened the alarm goes off. I've tried the process and the LED in the key flashes for the 10 secs it should but nothing happens with the car. Is this because the alarm is going off? If so how do I stop it going off? I have a small key that looks like it could be for an alarm but can't find anywhere for it to go. I've acquired another key to try but nothing happens with that one either.

Can anyone help?
