After I updated my ECU (soft ware) my engine cuts out at 3500 rpm or at 120 kph but when I disconnect the ECU and reconnect it is fine for the next 24 hours but then bgins to cut out again. Has anyone had a similar experience?. Thanks for your input. ------------- oklah |

What do you mean by 'updated my ECU software'. Is it what I think and you have modified your ECU to give more performance. If this is the case then I would suggest that the updated software is not very good. Try getting it reverted back to standard and see if it rectifies the problem. Other than that all I can suggest is that you take the car to a speciallist, or the people who sold you the software update and ask them. I never fiddle with car electronics myself. Far to complicated. In my opinion it's better to leave these things to the experts. ------------- Entering an age of Austerity and now driving a Focus Diesel. |
