Occassionally there are posts which could do with being publicised in more than one forum... is there any way to develop functionality which would allow us to check a box (or similar option) which would let 1 thread appear in more than 1 forum?

if a moderator moves a thread the original link still appears within the original forum (with 'moved' beside it). The new link appears in the new forum (see Moved: http://www.bmwcarclubgb.co.uk/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=4692&PN=1 - M635 CSi Front wings  within this forum). This I guess is possibly one option.

When I log in as admin I can set a message to appear on all forums (like the http://www.bmwcarclubgb.co.uk/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=10&PN=1 - Forum Rules and Guidelines  that everyone has read! but this is not quite what you want.

Last option is to copy the content of the post and just make a post in the different forums.
I think I personally would prefer the first as all replies are within one thread rather than having multiple conversations about the same thing.

The moved idea sounds like a good first step as the instances I'm thinking about normally only involve 2 fora... I'll give that a try and see how it goes.

I definitely want to keep it as a single thread with all responses in one place.

I tried this last night with the http://bmwcarclubgb.co.uk/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=5416&PN=1 - Mondello Park BDD  thread. I first posted it into the Club Events forum, then moved it to the BDD forum. This was fine and showed moved in the original forum.

However, I then moved the thread from the BDD forum to the Irish Region forum and whilst it now mentioned 'moved' in the BDD forum it lost the reference to the thread in the Club Events forum.

Basically, it only rmembers the forum the thread was last moved from!
