Hello,

anyone who can recommend a good garage for proper service of '73 2500 in (north) London area ? Cheap and good (of course).

I am also selling rear lamps for early E3 (>'71) incl. chrome inlay.

Found a good source on ebay Germany for some original parts for E3 / E9 (heater blower, ahstray, door chrome) where I bought my heater blower for 40 £ incl. shipping.

not those guys, a guy called Peter Schimmelpfeng, Mopar Engine Parts.

Seems as he's not a professional parts dealer but stocks a lot of e3 / e9 parts. my heater blower was brand new....

my 2500 is in good condition (guess renovated '97-'98), say 5-6 out of 10. BMW Mobile Tradition Germany says that its 1 of 3765 RHD Autos, No. 427 of 519 of that line.

there's not many left now that's for sure, In Germany there is reported to be no more than approx 800 of the various tyoes of these cars still around, out of a production of 280,000 plus. So the ones left need to be kept alive, but it would appear that they get broken for spares in order to keep the E9's alive............. I was driving a 3.0si a couple of months back, and it was an excellent car, sweet, but gave the GTi brigade a run. Have you had yours long?

where are you taking her? Nurburgring to the OldTimer event? I was there last year, and the cream of the E3's were all lined up, and there were some stunning one's present, including a guy who just buys and restores 3.0's and 3.3's to as new (if not better than) condition. Have to be seen to be believed.

If you're going so are some of us.

yep that's the one, if you are a club member, try getting hold of Nigel Gibb, he's the E3 guy for the club, he's South Lundon, and what he doesn't know about these cars will not be worth knowing. (btw, it's quite a show, and easy to get to)

You guys seem to know about E3s.  I have a rebuilt engine which is dismantled.  I was told it was a 2.5 engine for an E3.  Do any of you know how I can identify it?

Dear Nigel,

I don't know but once you have the engine no. available, possibly Mobile Tradition in Germany can identify. I spoke to a very nice gentleman calledMr. Jacobsen @ +49 89 382 23109. Let me know if he doesn't speak english and I'll try for you. It should be a 7 digit No. on the crankcase.
