If I take out the converter and fitting the after market box, my engine give more power or less power.

Do you mean the catalytic converter in the exhaust?

If so, you may notice an improvement at the top end, but from what I understand BMW cat's are pretty efficient already. Also, you may find problems come MOT time, because if a car had one fitted originally, it should retain it.

Yes, I mean the catalytic conventer.

Check the dyno figures at www.supersprint.com - Supersprint . They reckon the tuned M3 engines get the best gains by using Decat pipes.

If the car was after 1991 and supplied with a CAT then it would be illegal to run without but I know of a couple of 1995 ~M3s that have passed the MOT without a CAT.

 A machanic told me a car with out a CAT give less power. My M50TU model 1994 no more CAT now I replace the CAT with Sibering centere box. so, that mean my engine now give more power or less?
