Hi Guys

This may be common knowledge but there is a procedure to reset the Service Interval (SIA IV) on Model Year  (MY) 2001 E46 3 Series. There is no need to buy a reset gismo as for previous models.

1. Ignition Key OFF.

2. Press and hold odometer reset on and turn ignition key to position 1 (steering unlock position).

3. Keep button pressed for about 5 secs and the words Oil Change or Inspection plus rESET (actual format of wording on display)

4. Release reset button then press reset button again until rESET begins to flash

5. Whilst reset is flashing, briefly press the reset button again and the display should read about 15250 which is the reset service interval distance.

6. After the reset distance is displayed, the caption End SIA appears in display to confirm reset.
