I have a 1997 BMW523.  Recently on the M6 after being held up for twenty minutes in a traffic jam on a very hot day the temperature dial moved from the centre to the third-quarter.  The AC was on at the time.  I drove into a service area before it had a chance to move into the red sector.  I don't know if it would have gone into the red sector of the temperature dial, but I was not taking any risks. It has been okay since as I have not been in any further traffic jams. Do I have a problem?
