hope that someone can help.i would like to know weather any one has this problem on a e30.on the lighting switch which is the push me pull you type i have noticed that it stays on (the back light to the switch) hence it is draining the battery should this stay on im not sure

Shouldn't stay on, maybe a bad connection on the switch, or its faulty. Check the wiring on the back. Other than that you could maybe go to a scrapyard and get another one to test against yours. Sorry I can't be of any more help, but thats what I'd do.
