Cannot believe this-had a 200 mile trek on Wednesday in my MY '04 320d and stopped off at S.Mimms service station for a coffee early in the morning.
Parked next to a couple of youngish lads in a black BM compact with ACS body kit. Came out 10 mins later, compact still 2 bays down from mine, lads sitting in it-approached my car got in and the compact roared off with the lads laughing like no tomorrow. Got to where I was headed, parked up, walked off thenturned round to see a lovely white key scratch all down the nearside-front to back!! Just had police on the phone and SMimms CCTV shows the little b*****d getting out of the compact and doing it!! Shame cos it also shows a lovely close-up of his registration plate. I guess the compact owner isn't a member of the car club but if you are and you read this just wait for the door knock from plod. I cannot believe this was done by another BM owner-just glad I didnt go in the M3! Could well have been a stolen car that they were driving...not insured etc... I'm not sure I'd like to recommend a vigilante approach, myself, but I would like to see a vigorous and deeply unpleasant punishment given to people who damage cars. Mind you, I'd like to see such punishment given to anybody who commits a crime that harms other people or property.
Jail sentences that include weekend passes just don't seem to cut it for me.  ------------- Ciao, Spokey

Sounds like a good TV programme to me, live punishments on "The National Lottery." I'd watch it, great for ratings. A BMW Car Club member could have the honour of pressing the button to break a yobs fingers if he stole or damaged a BMW! I'd volunteer to stick pins in idiots who think nothing of giving you a parking dent. I think they should be punished by taking their car off them and giving them a battered old Ford Mondeo in its place and forcing them to parade it in front of all their neddy little mates
Then take it to a scrappy, with them still inside, and put it throught the crusher. Castrations too good for them. Feel stone island M3's pain! Only had my car a month and some wee ned keyed all along the boot so hard that the paint actually chipped off at parts. What you need is an underpaint security device (if someone has invented one..) in so much as if someone breaks the surface of the paint and comes into contact with the metal, they get ten million volts through them...

Flames have a much better effect..once seen/felt never forgotten...the SA side burners are illegal but I guess you could rig up some sidewinder exhausts to look like them and pump sulphuric acid thru them when anyone tampers with your car..... Re the sideburners, theres also a device they do that sprays tiny jets of CS spray out of the wing mirrors.
Personally I can't wait for guns to be legalised.
