I'm baffled with the following problem, under braking i get a judder through the steering wheel, also at 34-38 mph i get the judder when cruising, i have had the front wheels balanced 2 times at differant tyre places to make sure, there balanced now apparently. Yesterday i changed the brake discs thinking there warped, although the problem have improved there still doing the same but not to the same extreme, the car is a 1992 320i SE, all help much appreciated.

             thanks Paul

I had the same problem on my 320i, shortly after having drilled and grooved discs fitted. I had been expecting some judder due to the discs themselves being grooved, but what I got was really horrendous.

I had the system bled, and topped up the brake fluid and its working fine now...

I thought i should have changed the brake pads at the same time as the discs, but still unsure if this would help, just thinking that if the discs where warped maybe the pads have uneven wear causing vibration on the new discs??
