well to be precise i have what i can only describe as a very weird sort of little motor noise showing itself whenever i start the car or turn it off after even say 5 mins driving. At first i thought it was coming from behind the dash, but infact its coming from either under the wiper scuttles or the main black brain box. Anyone got any ideas then ? bmw535i Sport |

That will be the motor which controls the pressure on the drivers side windscreen wiper...Nothing to worry about.

hehe when i first bought my bmw i thought it was something wrong as well. The older motors are noisier than the newer ones but as miles says its nothing to worry about. Russ ------------- http://www.deathace.net">

I had the same noise when I first stopped the car after just buying it and started panicking but it stops after a couple of mins  ------------- 1991 525 Sport

phew. not more cash to splash out then!! Having said that, my filler cap area is rusting badly. Is there a section you can buy and have welded in? |
