Hey Simatic... one of the lads down at the open track day with the black sylvia (Dermot) had a thing mounted on the bonnet and it was fine. Three suckers with a small metal pole with mount on the top with cam corder facing forward.... got some great shots on it.

I assume its specific to the camcorder.... just remember to take it in if it rains  :)

Here is a good writeup about "warped" brakes. Good reading.

Thats the International Track. The national severs the international from 'Holiday In Ireland' corner to the 'bikeworld' stretch.
We will be doing the international next October but it wasn't available this time.

how close is the nearest petrol station to mondello, and could someone give me an idea whereabouts it is in relation to the main entrance. oh, assuming it won't have super unleaded, would i be better to fill the tank with super in dublin on the way out?

anybody fancy taking a mondello novice out for a few taster laps early on just so i can learn the basic corners etc? this would be really appreciated.

many thx,

justin

Don't have easy access to Super unleaded in this part of the country so it might just have to be regular unleaded unless someone can help out Justin on his way down as to pertol stations that stock the stuff on his route to Mondello

Justin, A few of us will be meeting on the N4 if you want to hook up [ see Lucan to Mondello Convoy].
I will have a list of all club members and also those who have paid up, etc.
There will be no shortage of assistance from folk but I will be glad to help show you the lines, etc.

Could take you out in the track car, either EoinO or myself should look after ya.

Could fasten the camera to the roll cage. Would be good and secure on that.

Sure we'll talk Saturday over breakfast

Killian Doyle from the Irish Times (Emissions column in the ednesday Motoring supplement) has just confirmed that he will be along.  He won't be driving himself, but will be there as a passenger.

He drives an e30 316 himself (which he has refered to as the Bavarian Princess), and his wife (I think) has an e30 Touring.

EDIT:  Just realised that I forgot to tell him to bring a helmet, so if anyone has a spare one they could bring along, would it be possible to borrow it for him..?  Thanks.

As it takes some considerable time to process drivers and passengers - and to avoid the resultant delays, I'd suggest that people arrive before 1pm. Part of the problem at the last BDD was that people were still checking in when the induction was due to start. Mondello will not start induction until all drivers are available and this delays everything else.

Since the weather appears to be good for the weekend, the turnout could be high - so get there early!
