You can bring it out in both groups but the car would need a break to cool down

Ya that's what I'm kinda worried about.

It's good to be able to let your car cool down between groups. Less chance of the engine taking a dump and brake failure.

You see thats where my question is. If we use the car for just the one group, it will only be on the track for the same period of time as anybody else in that group. If two people are sharing that car, they each will only be getting half the time on the track as everyone else. Surely there should be a concession for 2 people using the one car?

Seems a bit unfair for people sharing really!?

If passengers arrive mid session, can they still pay and go out (thinking of taking a spin up when I finish in Galway, but wouldn't be there until about 4, if I'm lucky)

@BM Fan; I think you'd pick one up over here for less money. An NCT failure e30 would be going for nothing. The one we bought was for good money but fair enough we needed to do some engine work, body work, put in a roll cage, harnesses, buckets etc.

It's a fun project really. I wouldn't bother buying one that was already done and thrashed.

Just my opinion.

Time is the problem - I have none, definitely not worth the hassle with an auto box. It was a fleeting moment - saw the price and thought "Trackday!!"

Ah well.. I'll be keeping an eye on your project to see how she comes along - best of luck with her. Don't know my schedule yet but might swing down on the day for a look

The track day will be on the afternoon of April 29th on Mondello's National Circuit. Due to Mondello costs, it will cost each driver €200.
There will be two groups - a novice/low power group and a higher power /more experienced group. The groups will go out for ~15 minutes while the other group pits for a quick break and let their cars cool.

For more details and an application form see http://www.bmwcarclubireland.com/mondello/

You can pay for Mondello on the day as long as you are a club member. As for numbers - overcrowding shouldn't be a problem

I think undercrowding is more of an issue.

I'll be there. It's the only reason I bought the car. Do I have to pay now or on the day?
