Funny that cause the BMW website says it fits...

Have you decided to make it a chop top for Saturday?

@ Simatic:  you know I'd never be a car snob ... I love em all too much! Just trying to giddy you up off that couch of comfortable complacency and into the cars you know you want! Now go buy that S4 Avant!! (I meant E34 M5 Touring of course. Silly me..)

TJ - I had a bar between the headrests last time, which now has the camera raised 4 inches above it (was too low at mondello, but raised works quite well).

Cost - €5 for the wood

Time - 20 minutes (and it shows!!!)

Tools - a drill bit (and a drill) , a measuring tape, and the top taken off a tripod and attached.

Would easily be able to mount it to the cross behind the front seats and view straight out the windscreen.

Could be less hardship for you.

all well and good, but simatic wouldn't look half as good strapped to a roll cage with the camera strapped to his head!!!

just my two cents worth...

The latest camera mount offering from the Highfield workshop.  It's the upgrade on last years wooden one - this time we have plastic, metal and tie-wraps!

Even managed a bit of colour instead of last years black and steel!

Patent Pending, as usual!!!

Make sure the mount to the cupholder does not come loose and we see you coming into the pits with a camcorder stuck up your nose.

Very creative Fey!  I think mounting them back is better though - just so you see the driver and so if you get a bit of oversteer, you see the swing of car relative to road and associated driver-traum.... I mean carefully-measured opposite lock antics

Hello boys!!

Hope you'll all have a good day out and a safe one!

Me, the car is currently ready to receive a 6 speed gearbox and a 3.91 lsd, doing it at the WE if all goes well and then  to the ring for some testing.

@fey: not sure I would call this an upgrade on last year one
