@Killian; That was me in the black e30 with the front right tire off the rim. Over cooked it around the corner, spun and hit the rumble strip sideways doing about 80 or 90mph. Was very glad we had the roll cage, harnesses and buckets. Was a bit sore after it. On the off I managed to burst the oil cooler and mangle the front arm and suspension. Unfortunately cut a good session very short.

Was sharing the car with EoinO, so as you can guess he was far from pleased.

Great day out though, can't wait for the next.

Hey Brian... cheers for the lift on the track... driving an M3 the way its supposed to be driven "occassionally"  ;)

Big cheers to Killian & all for organising the event. First time out driving and have to say I enjoyed it emensely... car went well and no problems since... bit of a squeek out of the brakes but thats nothing probably.

Gotta get the brakes done for the next one & remap and I should keep with the 2.2 z3...

Now for the International

Did a check on lap time comparisons between National and International track. A ratio of 1.87 seems to be the norm for all speeds of car.

So if you did 1:04.5 on the National you should be targetting a time of 2:00.6 on the International.

1:11.0 = 2:12.8        1:15 = 2:20.2         1:20 = 2:29.6

Roll on October 8th Safe driving

Thanks Gerard... I was just wondering what I should expect going from the national to the international in the 325.

We were taking the national on the 29th in about a 1.14-1.15... but our brakes were really really dire. So I would estimate a realistic 1.12 with good brakes. So hopefully around a 2.15 for the international.

Is anyone going down on the June bank holiday????

Hey Paul,

Not booked in yet.....going to talk to Ian and see whats down to drive, I don't want to be on track with a bunch of muppets, the standard on Saturday will be hard to beat (I'm not talking value of cars here either, I'm talking general driver behaviour and etiquette).

On the rice front, dont underestimate the power of Rice!!  There was a guy with an EVO III there on Saturday who was fairly throwing it around....its a lot harder to drive a RWD fast than the imprezzas and evos which could even make me look like a good driver.

Cheers

Mick
