Was there not talk of setting up a paypal account to make it easier? |

Yup. Neil/Gary are sorting out a club account ASAP, then James' Paypal will be pointed at that
Maybe it's worth waiting until that's in place before really building this event (and other 'deposit required' events) up?

Cool. Count me in as long as it's not the weekend starting 13th May.

I think the skid pan day was being proposed as a sepearate date some time earlier in the year Dunc. |
Indeed. A skid pan day was proposed for earlier with Shorty to look into scehduling / venues / etc. We're not talking about a skid pan here as Crail is track / drift. For a skid-pan, we're talking either a car with a funky chassis type doofer which causes skid like behaviour or a purpose built skid-pan with appropriate vehicles - Knockhill, Addiewell, etc...

As the committee pointed out at the AGM, we were disappointed by the apparent interest in track days followed by a lack of committment. Consequently, while still choosing to support / facilitate these events if members want them, we were going to be more interested in getting actual cash paid in much earlier. This is to try and encourage folk not to pull out having expressed interest and enthusiasm and then suddenly changing their minds.

Don't talk nonsense. None of the committee committed to attending a track day. We are behaving as we'd expect others to. i.e. Until we can commit to an event, we will not register our interest in attending. IIRC no committee member other than James expressed any interest in tracking / drifting their cars. And James was going to withhold committment until he had an appropriate car.

I'd appreciate it guys if you could hold off any further discussion until such time as I have accurate information back from Crail on dates and prices. Tommy will post the info up here once we have chosen a date that doesn't clash with the seasons events and we have got a price.

These events don't just happen - the committee spend a lot of time (voluntarily) and expense (out of their own pockets) to organise them. Obviously we try to attend where practical.
I think if you were to look back at who attended meetings in the past, you'll probably find that the committee have attended almost every meet ![](smileys/Big Smile.gif)
Like Webdunk, I find your comments unfunny and before you ask, I'm not having a SOHF.
