I thought he didn't like BMWs - when I watched Top Gear this evening whilst giving the young fella his bottle, I do believe he said the following after seeing a pic of the E63 M6 - "want one!"

he wrote a very funny book about his doomed-to-failure as a f1 racing driver (thats how he got that renault f1 car round in 59s this evening, plenty of practice!) it would make a very good christmas present, one of the few books that ive read from cover to cover in one sitting

No, that was the old Stig (in black). I am inclined to believe that the new Stig is Damon Hill, but have no proof of this. Mind you, if it was Damon Hill, then the chance to drive a F1 car might not constitute Xmas and birthday come together...

im inclined to believe that there was no change of old stig to "fresh stig" although rumour has it that there are three stigs filling in for each other when the others are otherwise engaged |

All this talk of "Stig" takes me right back to my schooldays, and a book called "Stig of the Dump" which, appropriately enough, I used to read whilst sitting on the oul bog....

damon hill was one of the other people mentioned when the "who is stig" debate used to run on other forums during the first season of the new top gear, seeing as he was guest test driver for a mercedes saloon on one episode
