Hi Diarmuid
Thanks to the excellent service of my main dealer it has all been sorted under warrantee.
They took the car in about two and a half weeks ago and stripped the engine.Found that the rings on the last 2 cyclenders were worn and caked with oil but luckley no damage to the cyclender or head.
Picked it up today and it is going like a dream.
So I have to keep an eye on it for the next 1000 miles but hopefully that is it.
Just on another note a lot of people slag off BMW main dealers in Ireland as rip off merchants but I have to say I could not have been treated any better by M and G
HAPPY DAYSArms Out

I think the general consensus is the Murphy and Gunn are fairly good to deal with. A lot of decent blokes in there.

Glad she's runnin well Jimboh!

Glad to hear the engine is sorted Jim, that should help ease the worldwide demand for oil, expect it to drop to $60 dollars today so !
Regards,

I tend to agree there Jimboh.  Dealers typically aren't cheap but my experience is that they generally provide reasonable value for money.  That's a subtle but important distinction.

Cheers Lads
Seems to be going a dream funny thing is power also seems to be up.I suppose having 2 extra pots might have somthing to do with it.

Had a bdand new E60 520 Sport while my baby was away and I have to say that up to this I have not liked anything about the car but the body styling of the sport along with the 18in M wheels realy make it a much better looking car.

Great to hear your baby is back and all is running nicely again. Does this mean that the rims and a little bit more are in store for your car now that shes back after a 2 week break from you

You have to be careful of the Big Bird too. Bert and Ernie tells me he is a bit of a crook.

O.K... I will go hide in the corner now.

You'll get as much as we leave behind after cleaning our cars which will probably be the little bit left at the end of the bottles that are no good
