..speed of light. (it works in photography studios, where flashes are on slaves)

suppose putting on rear parcel shelf with a car blanket round it would help..

Though I doubt it is legal, and I wouldn't advise anyone doing it as a result.. I read it ages ago and thought I'd share it as maybe not what to do

I wouldn't worry about trying to defeat cameras with technology, if you achieved something you wouldn't be able to sell it, as it would be peverting justice or something similar if used.

I honestly think weve lost this one, they are raising over 100,000,000.00 a year now in fines, according to radio four, read it again, one hundred million pounds sterling !

Doesn't matter what the road safety arguments are, this slime government isn't going to give up that kind of money.

I don't know how it could be arranged, but we need everyone to drive 10 mph below the speed limit for a few months, put the scamera partnerships out of business, and hopefully grind the country to a halt.

Best Wishes

Nigel

Thats easy..just go onto the M25 all day long and you will be lucky to ever get to 30, let alone 70.

you wouldn't get flashed if you were doing 2 mph above limit surely unless things have changed. I've noticed with some cameras that the detector doesn't pick them up, I have been told that these aren't loaded with film although I haven't been brave enough to try out this theory .
If you do get a pull for this one I would fight it, 11pm, good conditions, quiet road and 2mph over limit.
is this a road safety thing or money making exercise

don't mean to sound cheeky, are you sure it was a 70

I was thinking the same thing about the limit Mell.

To be a 70 it has to either say 70 ( this seems to be a scottish thing, the rest of us seem to use the NSL sign ).

Or

It has to be an NSL sign ( white circle with a black line diagonaly across it ), and it also needs to be a dual carrageway ( the number of lanes doesn't matter, but there needs to be a central reservation).

So , for example, a four lane road, no central reservation, NSL sign = 60 mph limit ( for cars ).

Best Wishes

Ok sweetness we have that bit , are you sure the speed limit was/is 70 mph is what we were asking lol.

If , for example, it was 60 mph, then you are above the 10% + 2 mph allowed (68 mph).

I don't know the road you were driving on, and although I have known scamera vans issue nip's for 2 mph over the limit ( Avon & Somerset ), I've never known it of a fixed camera, as that would be against the guidelines

Best Wishes

They have been talking zerp tolerance but I don't know if cameras are that sensitive. Crazy anyway, hardly sounds like a major breach of the law or safety was being committed!

There's one of those signs that lights up telling you to slow down on A41 near Higher Heath, we've tried it down to 25mph and it still lights up.

I can't explain that then Mell, I hope they haven't dropped the limit recently and you haven't noticed ( no roadworks etc ?).

It could be a dummy, but they normally only flash once.

Keep us informed, they have fourteen days in which to notify you, Stephen knows of people to help you out if they are trying to pull a fast one .

Best Wishes

nearly

ACPO guidelines (and they are just that, guidelines, not hard and fast rules and as such police forces can use their own discretion) prosecute at 10% + 2, so youd be alright at 67 mph, but get nicked at 68

I haven't had much chance of speeding today. Took the kids to west wittering for the day and bloody traffic meant it took nearly 5 hours to get home (101 miles)!!!!!

Is it Monday morning all ready???Angry Where did the weekend go? Called out twice - once at 04:00 Sunday morning and again at 11:00 Sunday, both pointless waste of time due to other's incompetence

Just have to make thru to Thursday afternoon and I jump into the M car for the long and enjoyable (ticket free?) drive home.

Rant over I'm off for another coffee.

Well the good news is that caffeine is kicking in and brain starting to work again!!!

I've calculated that I've approximately 3652 days left 'til I retire, cool
