Over to you Tommy (Shorty).

I propose a date from May onwards so we improve chances of good weather. Sooner we contact Willie the better.

o.k Guy's , as James has said in a previous post we need at least 15 guaranteed names to kick this event off , so if you could post your interest here & we can then begin to work out our dates

If we're waiting this long, then stick with the July window drafted into the 2005 events timetable.

And remember... notes of interest mean nothing. Money talks. Get your cash to James so we can firm this up.

Traditionally this has been open to :

a : any BMW
b : any BWWCC member in any car
c : anyone 'known' to a BMWCC member

All entrants at the organiser's discretion.

Yup. Neil/Gary are sorting out a club account ASAP, then James' Paypal will be pointed at that

Maybe it's worth waiting until that's in place before really building this event (and other 'deposit required' events) up?

Indeed. A skid pan day was proposed for earlier with Shorty to look into scehduling / venues / etc. We're not talking about a skid pan here as Crail is track / drift. For a skid-pan, we're talking either a car with a funky chassis type doofer which causes skid like behaviour or a purpose built skid-pan with appropriate vehicles - Knockhill, Addiewell, etc...

As the committee pointed out at the AGM, we were disappointed by the apparent interest in track days followed by a lack of committment. Consequently, while still choosing to support / facilitate these events if members want them, we were going to be more interested in getting actual cash paid in much earlier. This is to try and encourage folk not to pull out having expressed interest and enthusiasm and then suddenly changing their minds.

Don't talk nonsense. None of the committee committed to attending a track day. We are behaving as we'd expect others to. i.e. Until we can commit to an event, we will not register our interest in attending. IIRC no committee member other than James expressed any interest in tracking / drifting their cars. And James was going to withhold committment until he had an appropriate car.

I'd appreciate it guys if you could hold off any further discussion until such time as I have accurate information back from Crail on dates and prices. Tommy will post the info up here once we have chosen a date that doesn't clash with the seasons events and we have got a price.

Thanks.
