I've got orders not to show any pic's of Wendy on the forum, which is easy as I don't have any - only this one of Ian when they came to take my old brum brum away.

I shall never swear at a removal van again..or at least those who use them. This morning I decided to set to a job that I wasn't looking forward to doing, disassembling the huge pine bed, lugging it through to the spare room and assembling it again. Done it a few times, so didn't think it would give me any trouble this time.

Ha ha ha flaming ha.

First I couldn't find my Philips head screwdriver, then I couldn't find the Allen Key. Half an hour of very unladylike language later found both and got started. Took the mattress off, which promptly sank into an uncontrollable mess on top of me and the armchair in the bedroom, fought my way out from under it and got to the bed frame. Took about 2 hours to get the damn thing apart....sweating and swearing beautifully throughout of course. Had a break as the breathing was getting a bit iffy. Had a coffee then started lugging it into the back room, dropped one of the ends on foot..swore a bit more but eventually got it into the room. Discovered not much space so assembled part of it in adjoining kitchen and waddling it back into bedroom, finished assembly in about 3 hours. Had another break and coffee then wrestled with the mattress..took about an hour to get that from one room to another but got there eventually, got it stuck trying to get it over the end of the bed..but with swearing I persisted and got it there.

Removal men deserve those huge bills..definately deserve a medal too....

and on Wednesday, I got a new 4 poster to assemble....I need a holiday....

Don't s'pose you caught any of this on a webcam or such, sounds like a right giggle

On the subject of giggles, how does one go about uploading an .mpeg file, it's clean and funny esp. if like me your a hamster owner!

The world is a tragedy to those who feel, but a comedy to those who think.
