Got stuck into a book last night after I went offline. Have to admit that it did make me cry a little too.

'The Two of Us' the autobiography written by Sheila Hancock about her life with John Thaw. In between the sections about where they were born and what happened to themselves while they were married and so on she writes about how John was coping with his illness and how she felt helpless when he had bad days. I got to the part last night when he died in her arms and how she cried and cried and wouldn't let him go.

The book is beautifully written, Sheila doesn't hold any punches about her feelings as she watched John slowly declining. Absolutely superb book, very thought provoking

Are you sure? could have sworn it was CP, will have to dig it out (literally, buried in cupboard with Vinyl LP's) Thought Sandy Nelson was the Rangers son in the original Flipper series......

Stopped worrying about the candles on the cake years ago, they say you're as old as you feel, some days I feel 16. others 95. Today about right, lol. Got to go, Wendy wants phone line back and I'm in doghouse after letting mouth go before brain last night.

Ise flicking tween the scores on the Premiership relegation battles...poor old Norwich is being trounced 6-0 at Fulham, Southampton is losing 2-1 against Man United and Pompey are losing by 2-0. But its Southampton, Norwich and Crystal Palace that are going down once their games end and if they don't suddenly fight back.

Can't say I am too unhappy about Southampton though, they nicked Pompey's manager so they can go down to the Conference leagues now.
