Ahh yes imagine "My Lovely Horse" in glorious widescreen technicolour and surround sound!
I suggest you get extended insurance in case those pics of Ivans colourful footwear cause irreversible damage to your telly!
Think I'll use these for my new signature image unless the moddies object:

Hand-made.....

'Tis he! We hacked out this morning and passed one of those new execu-box housing estates under construction.
The show houses were complete. The developer's agent was very keen to take photos of Rory meeting prospective house buyers!!!!
....Meanwhile, up in York, a subtitle appears at the bottom of Ally's current monitor. It reads:
"Do not adjust your set"......

Just out of interest, how many hands is he? Looks about 16.3-4

Wasn't a bad guess on my part then, he is superb example though, have to agree with you there, Owen.
From past photo's of him, he looks like he has a kind eye, good natured and probably very patient too, which is a good thing seeing as he puts up with your shenanigens
Whats his scope like? Looks leggy so I would say he could, with the right persuasion, pop a 6.6 minimum.

Rory is an Irish Draught-cross-Thoroughbred. I love Irish horses....

We'll try and work on photos when he's lying down. Then you'll see how comfortable his "sofa mode" is

He'll need a lot of work before he can clear 6ft 6ins! He's been doing flatwork / dressage mostly, but I have had him going over jumps, which he enjoys. Trouble is, he rushes at jumps, which leaves no "thinking time"!!

With a little bit of training and perseverence, I would think he would make a good jumping horse, he has the build and conformation for it, my cousin had an ex racer Thoroughbred, dead lazy at jumping but tween us we soon got him clearing 6.6 without a problem, takes time and effort but Rory looks worth putting the time and effort into IMHO. He's a nice lad and oozes further potential.

12 is no age for a horse, have you tried him in 3 day events? I would think he could be a tidy eventer, specially the cross country. My cousin used a hackamore when she took Aladin into 3 day events, found that he was far more responsive using it.

Ah well, the weekend is almost over, been raining for most of it here. Got a few things to do this week, including getting another year older but not neccessarily wiser and a couple of hospital appointments..echocardiogram and respirtory tests..sounds like a bundle of laughs...not.
Hope fully the long awaited for cheque will arrive and I can get my holiday booked and start my spending spree too, think its about time I treated myself tbh, makes a nice change to be able to. The holiday is just what I need to get back on the level again and seeing as Christmas/New Year is always a hard time for me, the timing of the cruise I want couldn't be better.
Leccy blanket is now on and just consumed a large mug of Horlicks, so about ready to call it a day in the next hour or so. Wonder if any of the other nutters will be online tonight...
