Theres not a huge amount I could do on the tyre front because they're already 275's on the back! Thing is, if I lowered it and changed the suspension I'd not have the joys of the 6 as a cruiser. I thought it went well on the bends for such a mammoth car and on the flat straights it was a total hoot! That's why I sold the M3 anyway, I was getting brittle bones.... |

Thoroughly enjoyed the day out and putting faces to names that have been mentioned on the forum. The run back to the A1 was very exhilerating and gave the Z3M Coupe chance to stretch its legs a bit. Chris thanks for the pics. Think you need to lower the C of G of the 6 Series or get some wider rubber bands plus suspension mods on it to keep it on track on the corners. "I was on the ragged edge a few times too in the corners - and on the long straight did you notice I almost veered right a bit too far....the bumps weren't to the cars liking at, ermmmm, that, ermmm, speed!" The day would been perfect if that guy from Jedburgh that we met by accident at Kielder Castle had turned in his brand new V-10 M-5 instead of his Land Rover Defender. Cheers

No problems Tim, The pub was fine, with a good choice of excellent food. Quite reasonable too. Mick

Looks like you all had a good day A BIG THANK YOU to Mark, Terry & Mick for steping in for me on the day. (and to anyone else!) I hope that the pub was OK, and you all enjoyed lunch. I am gutted that I missed the second Kielder run this year, but with everything that's comes with moving house, I just couldn't afford the time away this weekend (and 'er indoors would have given me grief if I had been out all day ) Pictures look great Chris, as do all the cars, a credit to all the owners. Glad the weather held up for you, and the run back sounded like a lot of fun! I'll make sure when I organise another one, the least I can do is turn up! |

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Ferris pass-out at 31 Flavours last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Excellent run back, I spent more time on the opposite side of the road I thought I was on the continent! I had a couple of incidents where the back end tried to overtake the front. Maybe I should have switched traction control on |

Oh, I almost forgot....I've never seen a memorial like this in the UK before, but there was a bridge over the little stream to it. I presume it had been privately paid for by some form of ex-Squadron association in Germany. |

Pete, yep the rain stayed away throughout. There were a few stuffed pheasants inside but I think the pluckers themselves had plucked off. |

That was a rather, ermmmmm, rapid run back to the A1..... Sorry I had to back off for a few miles Cliff but my phone rang! I was on the ragged edge a few times too in the corners - and on the long straight did you notice I almost veered right a bit too far....the bumps weren't to the cars liking at, ermmmm, that, ermmm, speed! Here are a few pics, but I need to blank out the plates on the other 50+ that I took!!! Edited by Coasting |
